PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
• Serves as an escalation point for Service Desk
• Monitors and remediates any system health concerns of Unified Communications systems within the production environment
• Supports maintenance and updates of configuration or recovery documentation for designated systems
• Supports improvement of performance and availability standards of the technical solutions through continual service improvement
• Supports compliance with policies and procedures including DoD STIG requirements
• Ensure problems, error conditions, and system events are promptly and appropriately addressed
• Flexibility is a must and after hours on-call may occur |
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS |
Unified Communications (VOIP softphone, chat, messaging, video communications, telecom/voice ) administration/maintenance
o Day-to-Day sustainment of an enterprise UC environment
o System administration of a Unified Communications systems and subsystems
o Knowledge of core features to include networking, mobile communications integration, conferencing (voice/web/video conferences; desktop/file sharing), MPLS-VPNs, SIP, H.264, and virtual/cloud integration
o Knowledge of routing/switching and QoS techniques
Desired:
Administration and sustainment experience in the following disciplines:
- Skype for Business
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Presence Servers, and Cisco Unified Application Engine
• Willingness to learn complex systems
• Experience with networking appliances, firewalls, and cloud/virtual environments
• Possess one of the following certifications: MCSE - Communications; CCIE Collaboration, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP-V) Voice, or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP-C) Collaboration
• Scriptwriting skills to automate monitoring and management tasks |
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS |
- 8570 complaint (Within 90 days of hire)
- Bachelor's Degree and/or 8+ years(Senior) 4+ years(Journeyman) work experience or equivalent experience
- TS/SCI w/CI Poly
